Become a Registered Apprentice as a Direct Support Professional!

An apprenticeship is an “earn while you learn” program providing on-the-job training and related instruction. Coordinated through the Department of Workforce Development , an apprenticeship “is a post-secondary education, like a college or university. But there's a big difference. Apprentices learn only a portion of their skills in a traditional classroom. They receive most of their training on-the-job, while working for an employer and earning wages.”

Apprentices earn wages in a Full Time paid position, while receiving hands-on training with practical on-the-job learning. Apprenticeships pave the way to a fulfilling, long-term career with competitive wages. Upon completion of the program, Apprentices receive Certification that is recognized nationally.
