Community Living
Connections, Inc. is a local, non-profit, service oriented organization
whose mission is to provide the highest quality residential services to
individuals with developmental disabilities. We ensure person-centered
supports that emphasize dignity, respect and independence. Our services aim to
connect individuals with their community and help them reach their fullest
potential.
We believe that all people have the capacity to increase independence and to
express choices, thereby shaping and modifying all aspects of daily life.
Therefore, our aim is to teach each person the skills necessary to become a
self-advocate, while being an active and involved member of his or her own
community. Through guidance and education, we encourage each person to reach
his or her full potential as a valued and self-expressive human being.
| "I am most grateful for the
quality of attendants that have been assigned to work with my brother.
His present live-in attendant is a woman who loves her work and cares
for him with attentiveness and compassion. The result is a home
environment that provides not only the necessary care,
but a relationship. My brother is loved and
respected for the person he is. I have seen his attendant advocate for
him at team meetings in a way that he can not for himself due to his
inability to speak. Community Living Connections has
been my brother's life-line and I am very grateful for the quality of
that life-line." Judy Aberle, guardian
and sister

We respect each
person's unique contribution to the direction of our future and the success of
the organization. Our values will guide us in the provision of services to
individuals with disabilities.
For the individuals we serve, we believe that . . .
-
Every individual can contribute to our society;
therefore, we will promote the active community participation of our
organization, our employees and the individuals we support.
-
Individuals have the right to direct their own lives.
-
Independence and respect for an individual's unique
cultural, spiritual and developmental needs should be promoted.
-
Our services must be flexible, diverse and responsive
to the changing needs of the individuals we support.
-
Involvement, collaboration and cooperation among all
members of an individual's circle of support is essential.
-
We are system-wide advocates for the full inclusion of
individuals with developmental disabilities.
For our employees we believe ...
-
In developing and maintaining, an environment in which
each employee is equally valued, mutually respected, has an opportunity to grow
and participates in the direction and success of the organization.
-
In having a supportive work atmosphere that will
provide comprehensive training, individual recognition, flexibility and open
communication.
